Disability Discount at Disneyland Paris -
Park Tickets and Annual Passes

Are there any discounts for disabled guests at Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris does offer discounts on park tickets and annual passes for disabled guests plus one companion.

The discount is 25% off tickets, including:

  • one day, one park tickets
  • one day, two park tickets
  • two day, two park tickets
  • three day, two park tickets

These tickets must be bought at the parks and start on the day of purchase. The discount is calculated based on the price shown on the website for the tickets and varies depending on the date/first day of the tickets. Ticket information and prices before the discount can be found here.

If you wish to purchase an annual pass (a Disneyland Pass) then disabled guests can receive a 25% discount for themselves plus one companion. You can however only have a discount on gate tickets or a discount on annual passes, not both. Further information about both these options is provided below.

What proof is accepted for the discount?

Any of the proof accepted for a priority pass can also be used to purchase discounted tickets or an annual pass. Details of the accepted proof can be found here.

As long as you have proof for the disabled person you don't need anything additional for the companion ticket, they don't need to be the disabled persons carer or have any proof of being a carer.

Remember that as with applying for a priority pass in addition to the proof of disability you may also need to show photographic ID. It is actually a legal requirement in France to carry photographic ID at all times.

How do I buy park tickets with the discount?

The discounted tickets can only be purchased on the day from the ticket desks at the park. This is because they need to see the original proof of disability.

As you head towards the Disneyland Park look for a green umbrella and a sign for disabilities and a cast member will direct you to the ticket desks.

Cash or Card is accepted for payment.

You can collect the priority pass at the same time as purchasing the tickets, either by giving the reference from the online application or by completing the application while there.

You can only buy the discounted disability and companion ticket on the day, any other tickets for anyone else in your party must be purchased in advance online.

Should I use the discount?

The discount can only be used on park tickets bought on the day or on annual passes, there is no discount for tickets which are included as part of a package.

If you are planning on staying at a Disney hotel then you will in most cases be better off booking a package and ignoring the discount on tickets. This is because when included in a package the park tickets are heavily discounted, usually much more than you would save using the discount. Of course you can price up both options to check which works best for you.

If you are planning on staying at a partner hotel you would also want to check the cost of a package vs the cost of booking the hotel and tickets separately.

People may also consider buying the tickets in advance without the discount due to a fear of discounted tickets running out or of a long queue on the day.

However the disability tickets do not run out, even if the park is sold out, and if you are not staying in a Disney hotel and will need to collect a priority pass this can be done at the same time as buying the tickets so there shouldn't be any additional queueing time and the ticket desks are only used for disabled visitors.

What if I want a Disneyland Pass?

You can get a 25% discount on a Disneyland Pass (annual pass) for the disabled person plus up to one companion.

Details about the passes and the benefits and prices before discount can be found on the Disneyland Paris website here.

As with tickets, discounted passes can only be purchased in person at the park. The same proof is required as for the priority pass and for park tickets.

The desks to buy passes are at the entrance to the Disneyland Park, there will be cast members in the area to direct you. They do have a separate priority queue.  The desks are open from around 9am to 5pm.

You can either pay for a pass in one payment or pay a deposit then pay the rest over 11 months. If you choose to pay monthly the discount is taken from the total, then the deposit paid is the same amount as for any pass, then the remaining amount is paid over 11 months, as an example:

Gold Pass is 699 euros. 699 - 25% (174.75) = 524.25, the deposit is 149 so that would be paid on the day, then the remaining balance of 375.25 would be paid over 11 months at 34.11 per month.

How does a companion Disneyland Pass work?

You can get a 25% discount on a Disneyland Pass (annual pass) for up to one companion.

As with park tickets they do not need to be an official carer or have any proof of caring status.

Once a companion annual pass has been purchased (the disabled person must be present to purchase but both passes do not have to be purchased at the same time) it is for that named person and has their photo.

This means that they can use their pass the same as any other pass, they can visit using it without the disabled person.

But this also means that if a person with a disability requires different carers on different trips they can't use the same pass. In this case the option would be to not buy a companion annual pass and instead buy discounted tickets on the day for carers. Another option if wanting to stay at a Disney hotel would be to book a package for the carer (and any other guests) and have the disabled person add onto the room at check in, as long as that wouldn't exceed the rooms maximum occupancy.

Can you get an annual Priority Pass?

If you have a Disneyland Pass then you can get a priority pass which instead of expiring in a few days will last the duration of your pass.

There are a couple of things to be aware of though.

If the evidence used expires before the end date of the pass (eg a blue badge) then the priority pass will only be issued until that expiry date. The next trip after that date you would need to reapply for a new priority pass which would then last the remaining duration of you Disneyland Pass/Annual Pass.

Your priority pass colour will be based on how you answered the questions when you are first issued it, and if renewing they may or may not ask the questions again. If your disability can vary or change over time you may find you need to answer the questions again and see if your pass colour needs changing. This can be done at any time by explaining to a cast member at the annual pass desks or at City Hall or Studio Services.
