Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure

Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure allows you to sling webs as you attempt to prevent Avengers Campus from being taken over by Spider Bots! This 3D ride is fun, competitive and wheelchair accessible.

A pre ride show explains the ride and that your mission is to destroy as many spiderbots as possible using webs you shoot from your hands, this is all done by computers, you do not need to hold or attach anything. The ride is explained by Peter Parker but this is all in French, there is a translation into English but you can only really see this if you are near the front of the room. There are videos of this in English online from the same ride in Disneyland in California.

There is no height restrictions but the ride is not advised for pregnant women.

Queueing

The Queue line is accessible, so all pass holders use the premier access line. The queue all the way to the ride is smooth and level, and is indoors.

The initial queue takes you to an area where you wait for a set of doors to open, there is usually only a small or no wait at this point.

Large doors then open and you enter a room to view the pre-show and explanation of the ride.

After the preshow the doors open at the back of the room and you exit, this can be busy and depending on how far back you are exiting there can then be quite a queue after this part to then reach the ride vehicles and board. This queue can be quite busy and take maybe 10-15 minutes.

Ride Access

The loading platform has individual areas to load each row of the vehicle and if you need something to grab onto or are transferring from a chair there are some railings you can hold onto. If you are transferring cast members can take any wheelchairs or walkers away as you board and return them when you arrive back, walking sticks or crutches can be taken on board and laid on the floor.

Wheelchair users can either transfer or ride in a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Guide and Assistance dogs are able to ride. Audio Description is also available.

Ride Comfort

The ride uses a lap bar. It is a smooth ride all on one level and when it does stop it doesn’t jerk you.

The seats are quite deep and comfortable.

The ride is very interactive, but you do need to wear the 3d glasses to get the most from it, which could be less comfortable for some, and for those who already wear glasses, like I do!

Your arms will ache after this ride! A tip from me though is that you are just as effective at throwing the webs if you keep your upper arms close to your body and mostly use your lower arms, instead of moving your whole arms.

Wheelie Good Score

I really enjoy this ride even if my arms do get a bit sore after a couple of goes! I’m not sure if being a manual wheelchair user helps with the arm exertion required or not! I am always wanting to have another go and to beat previous scores.

Although I find the preshow a bit busy and there can be a wait between that and the ride I like that you don’t miss anything like you can on other rides, and love that there is a wheelchair accessible vehicle available.

I'd give this ride a Wheelie Good Score of 5 out of 5.
