What are my hire options at Disneyland Paris?
What items can I hire at Disneyland Paris?
Disneyland Paris offers a limited choice of items to hire. Often brining your own will be the better option but sometimes it's not possible or you face an emergency so it's helpful to know what can be hired.
Disneyland Paris offer a hire service for:
- Single pushchairs/strollers - only singles are available, not doubles, and they do not come with rain covers or recline. They are however quite large and roomy for older toddler/children
- Manual wheelchairs - these are either self propelling or attendant controlled with small rear wheels, you may want to add a cushion for comfort. Electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters are not available
- A walking aid similar to a rollator with a seat plus an additional seat for a child had been briefly available in 2023 but is not currently available in the parks at the end of the trial
How much does it cost?
Pushchair Hire - 30 euro per day plus a 50 euro deposit
Wheelchair Hire - 25 euro per day plus a 200 euro deposit
Payment can be cash or card, but if card is used for the deposit it can take a few days for it to be returned.

Where are the hire locations?
There are two hire locations, one at the entrance to each park.
In the Disneyland Park it is on your right as you pass under the train station when first entering the park, In the Walt Disney Studios Park it in on your right after you have entered the park.
You need to enter one of the parks to be able to hire, there are no locations to hire form outside the parks.
What else should I know?
- Once you have paid the deposit you can take the item between the parks and to the Disney hotels
- You can pay for more than one day at a time and keep it to use between the parks and the Disney hotels
- Don't loose your receipt, keep it safe to claim your deposit back
- Consider adding something identifiable such as a ribbon to it, as it could be easily mixed up
- The pushchairs are not really suitable for babies due to no recline but they are large so can easily fit kids who may have outgrown a pushchair at home but need something for long Disney days
What are the options for things Disney don't hire, including mobility scooters?
When travelling with a disability there can be other items you need that you would prefer to hire or are not practical to take with you. This could include items such as mobility scooters, hoists, shower chairs and adjustable beds.
For these items you would need to hire from an external company.
I have not used any companies so would not want to make any recommendations and would advise to use google to look at suppliers and check reviews. I will say that I have heard of a lot of people using Overt Medical who seem to work well with the Disney Hotels too and have heard no bad reviews of them, but do look for yourself.
It may be possible to bring bulkier items with you depending on how you travel, I have seen mobile hoists being brought on Eurostar and if driving is an option you may be able to bring more than if flying.
If you are hiring a scooter to use at Disney there are a couple of points to consider:
- Scooters are not usually allowed on shuttle buses, very compact ones may sometimes be allowed but this is not guaranteed, if you are staying in a Disney hotel the walk is easier but this may cause issues if staying at a partner hotel that requires the use of a shuttle bus and is not walkable or accessible via train (RER)
- They need to be delivered to a hotel and can't be delivered to or collected from the parks
- When delivered to Disney hotels they will be stored in luggage storage overnight and charged there, you will not usually be given the charger yourself. If you bring your own this can be taken to and charged in your room
- There are no charging facilities for scooters, or electric wheelchairs, in the parks. You may be able to find a socket but the vast majority are locked and there is no provision for the charging of mobility aids, so ensure what you use has a suitable range.
“Having hired all 3 I must say the wheelchairs are very variable in quality. Some of them are much older and stiffer making them hard to both push and self propel. The buggies are also variable but a decent size with lots of space to store bags and coats on the handle which is a bonus. My favourite is the rollators but they are newer so only time can tell regarding how variable they can be. They are sturdy, steer well and have good brakes. The kids seat is very small and only suitable for a child up to max 5/6 I would say (as opposed to the buggies which have a lot more room) 😊”
